Join Jeff Andrews & Christiana Shorter -- actors, vocalists, stage directors, and educators from New York -- for a week of artistic exploration through small-group classes, individual coachings, and hands-on activities in the performing arts! Bringing together vocalists and instrumentalists from the Lakes Area Music Festival, our teaching artists share their expertise in presenting improvisation, musical theater, story- telling, and performance art with Brainerd youth in the hopes of offering a deeper, more unique, experience. Teens/Tweens are invited to tap-into the artistic resources presented by the LAMF, check us out lakesareamusic.org!

All performances are free-of-charge and advertised by LAMF

Registration fee includes t-shirt and a daily snack.

This year we celebrate our 10th birthday of the Lakes Area Music Festival by launching an expansion to our educational efforts ExplorePerformance is uniquely designed for older students interested in the performing arts! Students from all kinds of performing interests are invited to participate, including: actors, comedians, vocalists, instrumentalists, public speakers, dancers, composers & more.

Participants will have two opportunities to perform in the LAMF:
an informal performance to share what we ve learned on Friday, August 10th & through additional outreach performances in the surrounding community.
