Turn your old blue jeans into a beautiful piece of art for your floor. This rug looks braided but is stronger and less work because a strand of fabric is used to join it together as you go. Rugs can be made round or rectangle and will be 36 in size. Materials needed: five pair of jeans and one old shirt. You will need half of the material ready for the first class. Cut strips one inch wide by the length of the legs of the jeans. These will be sewn together into not more than three leg lengths in each strip. You will be using six of those at one time. Cut shirt into strips about 2 inches wide and they can be sewn together into approximately three yards long. You will use two of those at a time for contrast. You will need eight medium sized safety pins, scissors, thread and needle for the class. Class size is limited.
